Under BRITISH DRESSAGE rules, gloves are compulsory when competing. If you have ‘busy’ hands, wear dark coloured gloves to make your hands less obvious.

If you are entered in a Dressage competition, at whatever level, from PONY CLUB upwards, you are normally given a ‘starting time’ (the exact time at which you will compete) in advance. Under normal circumstances you are required to telephone the secretary for this ‘time’ – usually 24 – 48 hours before the start of thee show (read your schedule for exact details). Make sure you contact the secretary for your ‘starting time’ when required, since the organisers are allowed to give your ‘time’ to somebody else if you do not!
