Hi everybody.
At last the PONY GALAXY TEAM have returned from the Ponies UK Summer Championships in Newark, so Larky and I can get on with our 'Tails'. We're not allowed to use the computor, something to do with our metal shoes damaging the keyboard!! So we have to wait for one of the 'Human Team' to do the typing.
Just to give you a little introduction -
My name is Gildemeester, Gilda to my mates. I am a Dutch warmblood, but have lived in England since I was 3, and I'm now 15 so I speak pretty good horse english. I stand at 16.3 hh, but can look a lot bigger if I want to, especially when Yvonne (my owner and rider) is trying to put on my bridle on a wet and windy day, I don't do bad weather I really like the sun! Yvonne and I have been together for 12 years, she's ok. We have a really good understanding of each other, which is very important, you know, between horse and rider.
This is a picture of me and Yvonne receiving FIRST prize for winning a Prix St Georges Dressage Championship. What a day that was, I felt so important, all the photographers kept taking my picture, and people I didn't even know wanted to pat me. Cor it was great.
My very best mate is Larky, he has got a very posh name as well. He's a show pony, a Welsh something or another, I'll find his passport and let you know his full details. He's a bit smaller than me 12 hands, but that doesn't matter we both think we are the same size. We are the same colour, both chestnut. But the best thing about Larky is ,I think he's GREAT!!
